This morning I woke up to Jordyn peeping in at us from the hall, waiting for us to wake up. Apparently he had been up since sunrise. Jordyn and I played Mario Kart until Jason woke up. Once Jason was up I made pancakes while the two of them built a fire. Jordyn was fascinated by the way Jason made the fire. We all ended up eating pancakes in front of the fire... a really great way to start your day. After pancakes, Jason taught Jordyn how to play Mario from Nintendo64... the one where you jump into the paintings. Jordyn couldn't wait to play a level, but if he thought it was too hard he would hand the controller to Jason :^) He kept asking "Uncle Jason" how to do this and that. It was really sweet. After a while it was time for Jordyn to go home. Jason drove us over to his house and then we left for lunch at momma goldberg's... so good!
When we got home, Jason continued to play Mario. Jason, being amazing, also made time to help clean up before our landlord arrived... our fridge keeps leaking water. After we had all that done and relaxed a little, we headed off to the store. We made bratwurst and mashed potatoes. So good!
Jason and I try to be healthy, so... after eating a completely unhealthy amount of sausage, we headed off to Ashley Park for our evening walk. We walked for over an hour and just talked. This is one of my favorite things we do together. I always learn something new about Jason each time we go for a walk. I learn what kind of ice cream from Cold Stone he likes, his views on religion, what kind of projects he likes/doesn't like at work, etc. Today I learned that Jason plays a game each time we go for a walk... I never knew this til tonight! When we walk he makes rules about what squares he can step on and which ones he can't... if the square has something in it, he can't step on it (like a cup or trash); if the square isn't a full square he doesn't step on it; and he tries to only step on the same column of squares. I had no idea he did this... and he does it every time! He's pretty good at it too. I love that Jason can walk, talk, and play a game all at the same time.

Today both Jason and I had the day off! I love days like this... no work, long weekends, and a lot of time together! We woke up late because we could, had our usual weekend breakfast together and watched some tv. Jason helped me clean up after our eventful weekend. I will never be able to explain how much it means to me that he doesn't leave the housework all to me. Jason is always so thoughtful when it comes to things like that. Best husband ever!!! We had a really relaxing day, even cleaning. We washed the dishes together (I rinsed and he dried). After cleaning we went to Kroger to get food for the week. We were having taco salad night with Anna! Yum!! This was the night Jason mentioned taco seasoned chicken... we'll have to try that one day. I'm not sure about it, but Jason usually comes up with really tasty, weird recipes. I trust him. Jason, being amazing, not only is awesome at cleaning but also cooking. One more thing I'd like to note about today... I discovered another wonderful reason I love Jason. I hate touching raw meat... I think that's the grosses part about cooking. Jason today opened the meat for me and put it in the pan! I just noticed that he's done that a lot for me. I hate it, so he is super amazing and does that gross part for me! It's not a huge thing, but that's why I love him... he doesn't have to do a giant romantic gesture... he helps me with the small things. Anyway... Anna came over, we gave her the birthday gift (her birthday is actually on the 19th), and then talked for far too long! It was a good night though!

Today Jason went back to work. I thankfully had today off! Luckily Jason works from home Monday and Tuesday so we were able to be together. It kind of reminded me of when we were in college... we used to get our books from different classes and silently read our books together. I loved that in college and I love that now. We both are able to do what we want and still enjoy being together.
Later in the day, Jason and I applied to prequalified for a mortgage... we contacted the same people we did last year to see if we could do it now. Since last year, we both have better jobs and our credit score was sure to have gone up. Guess we'll see! We're suppose to hear from Mr. B how much he wants for the house we're renting... hopefully things will work out. Speaking of Mr. B... he fixed our fridge today! It continually leaked water from inside the fridge. After weeks of asking him to fix it, he finally came over to do so. We also went to go get a Sam's membership... great way to save money, which can help with a down payment! Another amazing thing about Jason: he thinks ahead; he plans. Jason is wonderful at making smart financial choices. I love that! He's good about spending only what we have and working with me on finances. I truly love that I can count on Jason to be wise with our money. He spends hours and hours looking up something on-line to make sure we can get the best deal. I can't thank him enough for how much work he puts into making sure we're financially okay.

Back to work today... for both of us. All day Jason kept sending me the sweetest text messages... for example: "Good morning sweet love. You make my days better :^) " How could you start your day off any better! He officially is off "on-call" at work, thank goodness!! I knew he couldn't wait for that to be over :^) Again... so thankful I have a husband who works as hard as he does. I will he was able to get more time off, but I'm so thankful he helps take care of us! He does such a great job at work too... youngest guy there :^)
After work we decided to go for a walk in Ashley Park... favorite thing to do in Newnan! After we walked and went to Barns and Noble, we stopped at my parents place. We had to borrow their printer so we could get a discount off our Verizon bill... had to print a paystub to get an employee discount. My parent's were awesome at letting us borrow their computer. My dad and mom really enjoy Jason's company... don't ask me why ;^) He fixed their computer (shocker!) while we were there, too. While there, I also got to speak to my brother. He called from LA to talk... sounds like he's been lonely and is worried about adjusting up there. Jason, mom, dad, and I all made funny-faced pictures with my phone and then texted them to him... hopefully that cheered him up! I'm glad my husband plays my little games :^) I said "your turn" and Jason immediately did his raised eyebrow look... so funny!

Today was an ordinary day. Jason and I went to work, came home, watched Cheers and the Office, cooked yummy chicken together, and then cuddled on the couch. Nothing special... it's actually days like this that I love the most. Nothing better than relaxing with the most handsome man ever. No one better to come home to then him.

Friday... a different Friday than most. Jason and I found out something that was hard to hear. A very wonderful friend of ours got some bad news about their spouse. They found out their spouse was having an affair. Our friend was, of course, devastated. We told our friend they were welcome to crash at our place if they needed some place to get away to think. They decided to stay with us for the weekend. Friday we took our friend out for drinks. We ended up singing Beirut songs the whole way there and back. Jason and our friend tried to get my smashed... it worked too. I kept tasting different types of drinks they had... I didn't count any of those as drinks because they were just sips... however, 25 sips is at least one drink. Then I had wine when we got home... being a lightweight, I was tipsy. We all played Mario Kart while drinking... apparently I'm not good at that game while intoxicated. We had a good time together though, and I hope it got our friend's mind off of everything for a while. I eventually fell asleep on the couch and then was told I should go to bed. I did. I love that I can be around Jason and close friends and feel comfortable drinking... even a little more than normal. I know they will keep me safe and won't let me make a fool out of myself.
January 21, 2012
Saturday morning. Today was a hard day. Our friend woke up and seemed very upset about everything that had happened, understandably so. Jason and I made our friend coffee and Jason cooked our Saturday morning breakfast. We sat and talked about everything, gave our friend some time to vent. I hope we helped. Our friend is a wonderful person... very much in love with their spouse, not willing to give up on them. I don't know if I'd be that strong. . . to have a spouse have an affair and still desire to work through it takes a strong person... a very kind person. Later in the evening after talking and watching happy tv shows, our friend decided to take a break. Jason and I had gotten 50 glass bottles for this very occasion. I knew if it were me... I'd want to break something after news like that. We went outside with the 50 glass bottles and put a bucket underneath our fence. We made a target sign above the box and planed to break each and every glass by throwing it at the target... good way to get out anger, I think. Our friend picked up the biggest glass item I had found (a thin, fragile vase). Our friend threw it unbelievably hard... I couldn't believe it! It literally bounced off the fence like it was a trampoline!! Didn't even scratch. Our friend tried it again... bounced! Finally we realized we needed to throw it against a rock or something. Found one! Our friend aimed, threw really hard, and... it bounced off the stupid rock!!!!! WTF? We thought... one more time. Our friend picked it up and threw it the fourth time... smashed! It was awesome!! We then proceeded to throw each and every glass object at the rock until they all were broken. Continually we had to go get the glass objects that wouldn't break... Michael's apparently has awesome glass, just so you know! Jason and our friend then went inside and I offered to clean up all the glass. Shortly after our friend had a rough phone call and then an even rougher night. It was a difficult day . . . I can't imagine what they were going through. I hope we helped in some way.
Jason, I love you for how you are in moments like this. When a friend of ours is in pain, you stop everything to be there for them. When I'm in pain... you hold me and do whatever you can to help me. All weekend you and I tried to help our friend and reassure them they had us. You also spend this weekend reminding me that you love me and want our marriage to be strong. You were thoughtful enough to reassure me about our marriage in the midst of watching our friend... thank you for always loving me, for being thoughtful and kind. If anything, this weekend taught me that any marriage... even the best ones can have unexpected things happen. Things you never thought were possible. I want you to know, I will always love you. I will always be here. You are the greatest man I've ever known and I never want anyone but you. I love that you are always asking me "Is there anything I can do better, love?" We made a promise this weekend to always talk to each other... if we're happy with one another or if we're upset. I promise to always confide in you. No matter how difficult it may be, I will communicate as I know you will. Thanks for being my most cherished friend and love. I am yours and only yours, for always.

Chocolate crescent rolls... I think so!
January 8, 2012
Today was one of those days I couldn't have been more thankful for Jason. We were hosting a "happy moving to LA dinner" for Jamie. Jason spent the majority of the day cleaning and cooking for my side of the family. We made homemade pizzas (ham/pineapple, pepperoni, and even potato pizza!). I love how wonderful at cooking Jason is... he's never too afraid to try new things. I was planning on doing most of the cleaning, but I had forgotten a lot of things I needed to do for Jamie's party. Jason probably spent a lot more time cleaning than I did... I can't thank him enough for that.
For some reason I had it in my head that this dinner was going to be just like every other dinner. We'd eat, laugh, and when everyone left we'd all give each other hugs and say "drive safe, love you, see you later!" I was wrong. I didn't realize things were going to be different until Ash, Chris, Jace, and Jordyn said goodbye to Jamie. It was the last time they'd see him before he'd move. The part that really got me was when Ash said "Jordyn say bye to uncle Jamie." Jordyn, thinking this was just like every other dinner, waved across the room and said "bye Jamie." Ash told him he needed to come over and say bye. That's when Jamie started tearing up and with a cracked voice tried to explain he was moving and this was the last time he'd see him for a while. That's when it hit me. With each person Jamie said bye to, I began to realize this was a lot harder than I thought. Jason, being the unbelievably kind and observant man he is, began hugging me and keeping his arms around me through the rest of the evening, probably knowing I wasn't going to take the goodbye easily either. We sat with Jamie, mom, and Kat looking at old photo albums that Ash put together for Jamie. Pictures from when we were first born to just weeks before this night were in there. Then we finally had to say goodbye. Jamie walked over to me and gave me the longest and biggest hug I've ever had from him. Then I started to ball just like he was. Where's a two year old to make a funny noise when you need them! "I love you, don't do drugs" I told him. Then he left. Jason immediately told me to sit down on the couch so he could hug me. I looked like goo, just like I always do when I cry... Jason always disagrees when I say I look like goo. I love that I can look like an emotional wreck and I know it's okay in front of him. My whole life I've heard from people "you're too emotional. Don't let your emotions control you." Jason has never done that to me. He's always told me it's okay to be upset and I have a right to cry and even "look like goo." He's such a good man. Moments like that are why I love him so much. It meant a lot to me that saying goodbye to Jamie got to Jason too... I don't like Jason being sad of course, but it just showed that he really loves my side of the family, just like I love his side. We're so lucky.
January 9, 2011
Today we went back to work. Just like every day, I got my "Good morning love" text from Jason. That really makes my morning wonderful. I always look forward to those texts.
After work, Jason and I relaxed together and had some fun. I've always liked feeling taller than Jason, I don't know why. Sometimes we have contests to see who is taller. I stand... normally. Jason stands on his tip toes and tries to make himself taller. Well, today he did that. I then stood on the couch. He then raced up the stairs and stood on the highest part of the landing!! Such a cheater!! Once he'd reached the top he found the ragged, old ball of yarn we gave the cats to play with. He picked it up, threw it down at me and said "I'm the tallest f'er in the wold!!!!!!!" He's so awesome!! Even on boring days, he still makes life so much more fun. I'm still taller, by the way.
Later that night we went to Taco Mac and had dinner together. After dinner we walked around Ashley Park. I love our evening strolls in the "park." It's nice to be able to talk and hang out like when we were dating. After dinner we met my parents at their place. Luckily, Jamie was still there! I was slightly worried because I didn't want to go through a balling goodbye again, but it was really wonderful to see him. We were dropping off a lamp Jamie forgot to take with him from our place. We visited with family and Jason talked to my dad about... beer and bread! Shocker, I know! One of my favorite things about Jason is how much my parents love him. I know dad looks forward to talking to him every time he comes over... "Jason, would you like a beer." After that sentence, I can't find Jason. He and dad usually wander off somewhere and end up talking about projects, beer, and bread. I love that! After we hung out a little and said another goodbye to Jamie, we went home.
When I got home, I wanted to upload the pictures Jamie gave me on a flashdrive of our family. As we were going through the pictures, Jason and I found our wedding video. We watched it for fun. It was such a lovely wedding. Jason, as always, looked so handsome. I love that we did it our way, too. I have to say, the best way to end my day was to watch the moment I married the most amazing, handsome, and thoughtful man I've ever known.
January 10, 2012
Today Anna was coming over to say hi. Jason, being so amazing, helped me clean. Jason also made German potato salad while I made bratwurst... mmmmm! We were both in weird moods before cooking dinner... neither one of us seemed to feel like talking. I was in one of those weird moods were you aren't really unhappy but your not really happy... for no reason, too. Well, after cooking together things seemed to change. My mood was a lot better after getting to cook with Jason. Again: I love Jason because the little things we do together can be a lot of fun.
January 11, 2012
Today Jason and I woke up to a horrible storm! Instead of my alarm clock startling me, it was thunder. I got ready, ate breakfast, and then emailed Jason my daily "Good morning, have a good day" email. I then went to go kiss Jason goodbye. Jason was awake when I went to our bedroom to say goodbye. I sat down next to him and told him I was going to work. He informed me it was storming and asked me to be careful driving. He then told me to text him when I got to work so he'd know I'd be safe. I asked him to do the same. Not long after I got to work, I received a text telling me he had made it safely to work. Jason couldn't be more thoughtful with moments like this.
Jason is officially on-call for work. He will have to carry a phone all week in case of an emergency. Well, day one of his on-call and he gets a call. He had to come home late because of work. I just want to make it known that it means so much to me how hard Jason works. Working weeks like this isn't easy... and I know he does it for us. A wonderful provider... I think so!!
Once Jason got home we made tacos. This was one of those nights I asked Jason to let me cook without him... he'd already had a long day. Jason let me cook, but he was right there beside me :^) Even with long days... he doesn't just sit down and hide behind a newspaper or a computer. He was in the kitchen telling me how his day was. I love him for that!
January 12, 2012
I began my morning the usual way... by reading a loving text from my husband. "You are the most beautiful woman in the world." He's so sweet! He then asked me three times during the day "how are you?" Could he be any more caring?
Later that night we cooked spaghetti together. During the middle of cooking dinner... Jason's on-call phone rings. I finish dinner for him and put it beside his computer... he worked the rest of the night! That had to suck :^( To have to come home from working 9 hours just to work from the dinner table for the rest of the night. Love, you I couldn't admire you more for how hard you work. So many people try to get out of work and be lazy... those are two things you are most definitely not! You are one of the hardest working people I've ever known, and you are most certainly not lazy. Thank you for that. I hope I can always make it better for when you work a full day like this one.
January 13, 2012
Friday! Date night Friday! Jason and I spent a lovely evening at Panera Bread. Jason and I sat in a booth in the back... where Jason and I witnessed a woman give him "the eyes." She spotted him and looked him up and down over and over again. Jason, being the most amazing man ever, ignored her. He was also apparently holding in a laugh. She eventually saw me... and then acted as though she hadn't just checked out my husband. I, being me, got up and slapped her so hard across the face that my wedding ring will forever leave an imprint on her face! Then I got her a whore and sat down. Or... I smiled and then made fun of Jason for being hit on again :^) At least this time the girl hitting on him didn't give him a drink with something weird in it . . . that happened when we were dating at the Irish Pub... gotta watch out for those crazy red-heads! One thing that I love about Jason is how humble he is about the fact that he's so unbelievably handsome. I love that when someone gives him "bedroom eyes" he laughs at them and says people are more attractive when they are just themselves. I love that he loves me when I'm clumsy, loud, and look like goo. I will never wonder if Jason will leave me for someone else... he's too good of a man for that. I never will feel the need to slap the crap out of some girl throwing herself at Jason...I know he probably is just wondering why her face is twisted up weirdly instead of flirting back. Got to love a man like that :^)
January 14, 2012
Today Jason and I slept in. After a very long time, I finally got up. I told Jason to feel free to sleep more while I made breakfast. I made our usual honey crescent rolls. Jason then got up, grabbed breakfast, and then cuddled up with me on the couch to watch Frasier... our usual Saturday morning at the moment. I love that he works hard, but also is really good at relaxing. After much tv watching and relaxing, Jason asked if we'd like to try and experiment for lunch. He got the idea to make pepperoni pizza out of crescent rolls. MMMMmmm! It was a great experiment!
Around dinner time, Jason and I got ready and left to go get our nephew Jordyn... with a Y. He was spending the night at our place for the first time ever. He was so excited about sleeping on the couch-bed :^) We picked him up from his house and then told him we were taking him to a new restaurant... he guessed it was in Ashley Park. He was right. We went to Newks. As we sat down, I realized Jason had grabbed bread sticks... he was really sweet and let Jordyn and I have some. We all began having breadstick fights, which then turned to breadstick eating contests...whoever ate their breadstick the fastest wins. Jason's really good with kids... I love that about him. I think that's why we get along so well... I play like a 7 year old (if you haven't guessed by the stories I've already told)... and he's able to play with me :^)
After dinner, Jason and I took Jordyn to our place to make Sambuidgas... a.k.a. smores. "Smore" is the nickname for Sambuidgas... a guy named Sam invented it and they nicknamed it "smores" because everyone wants "s'more." Jason's awesome! We had a lot of fun with that. It was so cute to hear Jordyn say "Sambuidgas." Jason taught Jordyn how to build the fire and use the bellow. Jordyn loved the bellow. After making Sambuidgas and playing Mario Kart, we got the couchbed out and got ready for bed. Jordyn wondered why there was light coming into the living room... Jason sweetly pointed out that cars were just shinning their lights in the window. Jordyn was great and went to bed with no problems. Jason and I stayed up talking a little and eventually drifted off to sleep. Reason why I love Jason: he's great with family, kids, and is just one of the kindest men ever. I love you Mr. Brown.

Brown.
For Always
January 1, 2012
At the end of 2010, I married the most amazing man. In 2011, I experienced how wonderful it is to come home to the most handsome man I've ever known. This year, 2012, I have decided to jot down at least one or two things that I love about my husband, Jason, each day. I've known so many people who seem to forget why they married each other years down the road. Well, I want to make sure I always remember the reasons I love my husband. I never want to overlook all that he's done for me and how wonderfully loving he is.
To Jason P. Brown, for always.
January 1, 2012 memories
The first words I heard this morning were from my husband... "You are so beautiful," he said. During the day he cleaned our home, took out the trash, and emptied the cat litter. At the end of the day he asked, "Is there anything I can do to make your last day off more enjoyable?" Although he'd already made my day so amazing, he offered to get me a glass of water. He's too wonderful!
Just like Jason, later in the day he began discussing his frustration with how others are unfairly treated. He talked about why we are all equal and how he can't stand when others are taken advantage of. One of the main things that drew me to Jason when dating was how infuriated he was when others seemed taken advantage of. He's always wanted to stick up for the weak or soft spoken. I've always been somewhat soft spoken myself, and Jason has always stuck to his principles... he listens and fights for you when he thinks you need help. I've been in many conversations with Jason where someone has said something off and even hateful toward a certain group of people. During a conversation like that, Jason can usually be heard politely giving his viewpoint. I've heard him try to speak up for those who couldn't defend themselves in a conversation because they simply weren't there. An example: when someone discusses prisoners, drug addicts, homeless people, etc. I love that Jason looks past himself and tries to see others, and he isn't afraid to encourage others to do the same.
Right before bed, Jason accidentally bumped into me and then did it again. Jason is not a clumsy person at all, but he was tonight. He'd accidentally hit my leg and then we both ended up hysterically laughing. Someone looking in from the outside would have thought, "really guys? It's not that funny..." Although Jason can easily be serious and have deep conversations about life, he can always be lighthearted and playful. There are moments when I laugh so hard with him that I can't breathe. It's moments like this that I don't ever want to lose or forget.

When dating, I loved that Jason not only helped others but he always made sure to take care of himself. I don't think most people look for things like this when dating, but to me it is vital. Because Jason makes sure to take care of himself, he is better able to help others and be there for me. I love that he does this. I think this is one major reason he throws himself into fun projects or experiments. I always joke that he's going to one day blow up the world with one of his mad experiments... truth is, I think they are wonderful and I love that he does them. Jason started off this year with a few new experiments: making beer, restoring cornets (he technically started that late last year, but he's still doing it), and fixing up an old turn table. If ever there was a handyman . . . he would be called Jason Brown.
I also love the fact that Jason always encourages me to take care of myself, too. This past year has been hard for me because I starting a job as a counselor. I love being able to help people, but sometimes it's hard to hear horrible stories one right after another for five hours straight. Well, last night before bed, Jason asked if I wanted to exercise and read a book together. Jason knows exercising always helps me feel better and he also knows how much I love reading. I don't think I would have done either of those things if he hadn't asked. When I forget to take care of myself, Jason is unbelievably good at reminding me that I need to. It means a lot to me how much he obviously cares for my sanity and health.
Jason and I usually take turns exercising while the other person reads. Well, tonight while I was exercising we heard a loud noise from downstairs. It obviously wasn't caused by us and to our surprise both our cats were with us... I immediately freaked...I'm pretty jumpy and uneasy with loud noises. Jason knew I was worried and he told me to stay upstairs with a phone while he went downstairs and looked around. I kept my phone on me and watched as he looked around and then went outside to see if anyone was there. Finally he came inside and said he couldn't see anything. I'm so thankful he has the courage to do things like that when I don't. I can always count on him. Luckily nothing happened and no one was there... still not sure what caused that noise though.

Today Jason had a day off and I went to work. Jason actually drove down and met me for lunch on his day off! I can't explain how much better my day was just knowing I'd get to see him earlier than normal. I actually brought my lunch because I didn't know he could come see me. I took my lunch and ate with him at Panera. We had a really good lunch date and laughed a lot. Things like that mean so much to me.
When I got home from work Jason was (suprise!!!) working on one of his projects! He was sitting in the recliner and doing something on his computer. Normally when I join him on the couch, I'll put my arm under his back and cuddle up to him. One thing I've learned is that when Jason needs a project, he also needs his space. We've both gotten pretty good about understanding when the other one needs space or a hug. I got the feeling this was one of those times when he might need some space, so I just sat down next to him and turned the tv on. To my surprise, Jason must have known it was one of those moments I wanted a hug... he lifted up his arm and gestured for me to cuddle up to him! I know that might seem like a small thing to most people, but it was HUGE for me! I knew it would be very hard for Jason to work on his computer project with only one hand, but he still wanted to be with me more. Jason is so wonderful at letting me know he loves me.
Later that night, I said out loud "crap... I forgot to put the clothes in the dryer!" As I moved to get up from the computer, Jason told me to sit down and that he would do it. Being me, I argued and said I could get them. I didn't want him thinking I had said that as a hint for him to do it for me... I'd of just asked him if I had wanted that. His response was awesome, "It's called being married, get used to it!" He then walked over to the dryer and began folding clothes while singing the theme song to the Munsters. Jason has been watching a lot of the Adams Family and the Munsters lately. We both began singing together and laughing. Once Jason finished the laundry he found some cat nip for the cats. He picked up the bag of catnip and began calling for the cats. Once they saw what he had, he began circling the couch to torture them, screaming "yeah!!! yeah!!!" He then threw the bag up the stairs. Immediately both cats took off really quickly up the stairs! It sounded like horses were galloping up the steps instead of two small cats. Jason then sat down to watch Frasier episode 4.21 where Niles encounters Hot'N'Foamy... I don't think I've ever laughed so hard! Jason and I couldn't stop laughing about it. I think I will be watching that episode whenever I need a really really good laugh.
January 4, 2012
Last night I woke up in the middle of the night to Jason sweetly putting his arm around me. Even little things like that mean a lot to me. The next morning I got a text that said "Good morning sweet love." I think people underestimate how important little things like that are.
When I got home from work, Jason and I decided to go get beer bottles for Jason's first batch of homemade beer. When driving back home, Jason reached over and held my hand while driving a stick sift. I know how hard it is to drive a stick sift...it was so hard for me that someone called the cops to make sure we were okay... gee! Anyway, I know how many things you have to do and how hard it is to do them all at once when driving. It meant a lot to me that he made sure to take a moment to show me he cared. I truly am the luckiest person in the world... not a lot of people are as thoughtful as Jason.
Later that night, I tried to run a scan on our computer and it was taking forever. I finally decided to set the computer on the coffee table and sit on the floor while I waited for it to finish. Getting frustrated, I said "Gee! This is taking forever!! This scan won't hurry up!" Jason came over to take a look and very sweetly said "Click start, love." Hahaha! I clicked start and it took two seconds to scan! After we both laughed hysterically, Jason sat down behind me, put his arms around me, gave me the biggest hug and kissed me. Even when I do something that isn't so bright, I love that Jason shows me he still loves me. It's so wonderful to know I don't have to be perfect around him.

Jason and I decided to cook a meal out of my new Harry Potter Cookbook. We picked beef and dumplings. We were worried about the chicken broth with beef so we just made it beef broth. One of my favorite things to do with Jason is cook. He loves to experiment with food and make up weird recipes. I'm one of those people who sticks to recipes and cooks only what is written down. He doesn't do that at all. I'm actually thankful he doesn't cook by the book... otherwise I would never have been introduced to chocolate crescent rolls, honey cinnamon rolls, rice krispy treat snowmen, etc. I love his adventurism, even with small things. Like an ordinary evening, Jason and I worked together to cook dinner. I know this is probably a weird thing to add in my list of things I love about Jason, but it truly is one of my favorite things. I love that he and I cook dinner together. Most people usually have one person who does the cooking for the evening. I love that we both do it. It always makes me smile to think back on all the dinners we made together while singing the theme song to gummy bears, the Adams Family, the Office, or the Flintstones.
As the evening wore on, I began to get anxious. I'm still not sure why I was so anxious. Well, Jason could tell I wasn't my normal self so he walked over and gave me a big hug. As I pulled away from the hug and looked at his face an urge to laugh came over me. Jason always knows how to make things better. He began making funny faces and weird noises at me. It took only a few seconds and I began laughing and my anxiety began melting away. I'm so thankful for all he does! No one can make me laugh like him. Now that I wasn't so uneasy, I was able to sit down with Jason and watch a British man's documentary on the south. Weird show, but fun with Jason around.

Friday! Jason and I always have our date night on Friday. It always makes my work day easier to know I get to have a date with Jason later. He kept sending me really sweet texts that day about how wonderful and beautiful he thinks I am. It's really hard to have a bad day with someone sending you such amazing texts like that.
Well, come dinner time I was ready for our date. We got ready and drove to Newnan for Texas Road House! They have the best steak! The lady there gave us one of those light-up buzzing things that tell you when your table is ready. She said it would be a couple minutes wait. As we were able to walk away from the hostess, Jason's light-up buzzy thing came to life. He had the best look on his face... "That was quick!" He turned around and asked if the table was ready because it just lit up. She said no, that it lit up just to show it was working. Jason and I sat down to wait. We sat across from two British people... it was awesome! We didn't get to hear from them long before we were ready to sit down. Jason and I have a game at Texas Road House. Each time a waitress shows us to our table they as the same thing "How are you tonight? Is this your first time here?" Whoever trains them needs to give them more lines... It has never failed. We keep waiting for the day when one of them won't ask us that... but they always do. We then sat down to a lovely dinner! I wanted to write what it was about dinner that made is so good, but I'm not sure I can. It's moments like this that I look back on and know Jason loves me... but it's hard to explain how I know that. Maybe it's the ease with which we have conversations. Maybe it's the fun games we play at dinner (like throwing paper at each other until it inevitably goes to someone else's table and embarrasses me). Or maybe it's just the many times Jason says "I love you" during dinner. Whatever happens during our date night dinners... it leaves me with a feeling of being loved and safe. There is no one else I'd rather sit down to dinner with than Jason. We could sit in silence together and I'd still love every minute of it.

I love the weekends when Jason and I can sleep in. It's such a great way to start the day off. After sleeping in waaaay too late, Jason and I made breakfast together... honey cinnamon crescent rolls! Mmmm! So good! After breakfast (or brunch considering the time) Jason gave me a massage... God bless him! I really do have the best husband in the whole world!!
After we spent the whole morning relaxing together, we then left to celebrate Jordan Teal's birthday. During the drive up, we listened to the radio and sang weirdly to the different horrible Lady Gaga or Katie Perry crap that was on the radio. Jason and I never sing normally during a road trip, no matter how small. I usually sing extremely deeply when it's a bad song to make it more entertaining. Jason sings super loudly and does his "crazy man" voice and mocks the bad singers ("Hold your BREATH!!!) Gotta love him
We then went to Chilis and ate with his side of the family. I love them all! They are so much fun to be around. I think what I like best about them is that they just say exactly what they think. You never have to wonder where you stand with them. I love that. I'd much rather someone just say what's on their mind then always wonder. We have the best family... on both sides!
On the way back to their house, Jason put his arm around me and kissed me on my forehead. I love that. I love that we can both be affectionate without it being weird in front of family members. I'm so lucky!
At the end of 2010, I married the most amazing man. In 2011, I experienced how wonderful it is to come home to the most handsome man I've ever known.
