March 25, 2012
Today was Hunger Games day! Jason and I began reading Hunger Games on his kindle today. One thing that I never ever want to stop doing is read books with Jason. I love getting to pick out a story and dive into it with him. It's like a much better version of watching a movie with friends. Movies don't last as long, they have fewer surprises, and they aren't as detailed as a book. I love getting to a shocking part of the book to look up at Jason and see his mouth has dropped in excitement with me!! It's so much fun to have someone to share the experience with. I'm so lucky to have him... he's such an amazing friend and love!

Today Jason and I are super excited! It's the day before we buy our house!!! We've been really worried though... we got a message from Brad, our loan officer, and he said we might need to push back our closing date. Said something about how they couldn't get in touch with the Appraisal guy... we were excited but worried. We both asked off work for tomorrow. Jason called the Appraisal guy Sunday and again on Monday to ask him what was going on... thank goodness he did!!! Because Jason did that, Brad said it looked like we could close on time... they pushed our time back from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. tomorrow. With that somewhat resolved, Jason and I resumed our work day. After work Jason and I decided we needed to relax so we read more of the Hunger Games... so exciting!!! It's such a good book. Today I am thankful that Jason doesn't just sit by and let life happen... he does what he can to make sure things go smoothly, like with the house. I also am thankful, however, that Jason knows how to relax . . . how to sit and read a book.

We bought a house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jason and I slept in this morning because we could :^) After a while we got dressed and went to eat at KFC. While at lunch we got a call from Brad. He told us we were good to go and he informed us how much our cashier's check should be for closing. We then headed to Bank of America and got the check. Then... off to Home Depot :^) We got our first few things for the house... a light socket, for example. We then headed off to the closing!! It all went so smoothly! Our loan officer and Terri Turner were there and they walked us through it so easily. We've heard nightmares from so many people about how much paper to sign and how completely confusing everything is... I guess we picked really wonderful people to set it all up for us. After signing papers, our Terri handed me a card and said "This is for you guys." I thanked her and then we all said goodbye. We then held the keys to our own home! Terri hugged us and congratulated us! What wonderful people! One we got back in the car I opened the card... she placed a $50 gift card in there for us... for Home Depot!!! She knows us so well :^) Jason and I immediately went to our new home!! We then went out to celebrate at Texas Road House! Mhmm! After such a busy, wonderful, and stills stressful day... we decided to read more Hunger Games. Such a wonderful day!!
March 28-31, 2012
I'm unfortunately am behind in writing . . . I made notes each day, but I've gotten backed up because recent house-buying adventures. Therefore, I will be writing one entry for the past few days... mainly because we pretty much did the same things each day. Basically Jason and I worked, came home, went to Home Depot (daily....), got paint supplies, painted the dining room red, and began putting in new light fixtures. Oh... also, we read the Hunger Games at the end of each day. Basically we've been unbelievably busy! Only things that were different was on the 30th we opened up an account with Suntrust ... awesome! Now that I've summarized what we did, I'd like to note the amazing things I noticed during these days about Jason :^)
March 28th I got a text from Jason that read: "Love, you are so wonderful. I can't wait to kiss your lips again and hold you." I love him!! So sweet!
The night of the 28th Jason made what I like to call... a Ghetto Air Spaceship. Not quite sure why I called it this, but I did. Jason and I decided we needed to make an air purifier with our fan. Jason got a ton of aluminum foil and put it around the fan and then began poking holes in it (still not sure how that works....). I looked at the thing and started laughing because it looked so weird!! Next thing I knew it was a Ghetto Air Spaceship :^) Jason and I laughed a looooong time :^) I love how much fun Jason is. He's so amazing at making these weird (albeit awesome) projects and homemade gadgets. I mean... how many people can make their own air purifier, tazer glove, or water filter.... amazing! I married a super awesome, creative, and ingenious man :^)
Another thing that I love about Jason... he reads. I know that's a weird one, but I love that about him. Not only does he read but he reads things no one else I know would read. I hate admitting this and I would never admit it to his face.... I even kind of, sort of . . . like the fact that he read the stupid Pride and Prejudice and Zombies book. I can't believe I'm putting that in writing. I still hate that book... no one get me wrong about that. But I love that he is willing to try new things and read whatever . . . I would never do that. I probably miss out on a lot of good books, too, because I don't read anything (Not saying I missed anything with Pride and Prejudice and Zombies... I'm still write about that one). Also... I love that Jason reads with me. So many people seem so amazed when we tell them we read books together... I'm so thankful for that! It's so much more fun and entertaining when you can enjoy a good book with someone you love.
Another thing about Jason I love: he encourages me to have hobbies. On the 30th, Jason did his own projects while I worked on my mom's birthday present (her quilt). I am so thankful Jason wants me to be happy and do things that make me happy. So many people aren't okay with their spouse working on projects without them... I'm so thankful he gives me space. I hope I'm as good as he is with that... I love that he has his projects and likes to spend time investing in ghetto air spaceships ;^)

Sunday! Jason and I slept in some while Jeff headed off to see a friend for breakfast. Jason and I relaxed and enjoyed our day off together. Around the time we got up Jeff returned. We played a little Mario Kart and then headed off to Taco Mac (our usual "Jeff is back" location). We met Anna and Travis for lunch and talked with them for a while. After lunch we headed back to our place for some more Mario Kart. I cleaned up a bit while they started brewing their first all-grain beer. It took them quite a while to brew everything. By the time it was done it was... Walking Dead time! We got in the car and headed over to my parent's place. I bet my mom would immediately offer them something to eat while my dad offered some form of alcohol, bread, and cheese. When we got there mom walked in with 60 wings!! She never ever underestimates how much food we'll need :^) Shortly after we were offered a drink, then bread, then cheese. Then my mom walked out with a HUGE fruit and veggie platter. Best chocolate covered strawberries I've ever eaten! I noticed some boots in the living room I hadn't noticed before... they were the boots Jamie wore on the Walking Dead! How cool is that! So glad he got to keep those. Also mom got super excited and then showed Jeff the bullets Jamie got from the show... same bullets he used when shooting Zombies! Again... pretty awesome! We had a really great evening... we all just laughed, talked, ate super good food, and joked around a bit. Dad was in a really good mood and mom was too. It was awesome :^) Soon we skyped Jamie and got to talk to him. We then pointed him toward the tv and watched the finale of Walking Dead. It was amazing! In the first part of the showJamie or "Jimmy" was eaten by tons of Zombies... it was so weird! We all immediately yelled "Noooo!!!!!!!!!! Oh!!!!!!!!!!!! Ew!!!!!!" It was a lot of fun :^) So proud of Jamie. After Walking Dead we watched a little "Talking Dead" and then I had to leave... I had to work the next day. Once we got home I was too excited to sleep :^) We fixed Jeff's couchbed up and then went to bed ourselves. Both Jason and I had a hard time falling asleep. We ended up just staying up an extra hour talking and laughing about how awesome the night had been. Jason's so wonderful :^) I'm so thankful I have someone to share all these wonderful things with.

Monday... we return to work. After work Jason and I decided we needed a nap. We both went to bed waaay too late and needed some rest. Right after Jason got off work we fell asleep for about an hour. Jason then took a shower and I went back to sleep. Jason woke me up and then sat down next to me. He is so sweet. He told me I have the most beautiful eyes he's ever seen and that he loved me. He then offered to give me a back massage before we headed off to Ashley Park for our evening walk. He's so amazing! He tells me all the time that I'm beautiful and that he loves me! I really am so lucky to have him.
After getting the chance to go for our walk and work out some frustration from our jobs, we then decided to go eat out at Wendys. We had a really nice little dinner out at Wendy's and enjoyed each other's company. We then promptly returned home, watched some tv, and then went to bed. A simply day with my favorite person ever.
March 20, 2012
Tuesday.... We, again, got up and went to work. I got to work with a text that said, "Morning love, You are so wonderful." Can't start the day off better than that! After work we decided to go for another walk at Ashley Park. So nice! It was sunny and windy and just the right amount of wonderfulness for a walk. We went around three times and filled each other in about our day. After that we headed over to Target for an air purifier . . . hopefully this will help Jason's allergies. Later we went to Chicken Fil A for dinner. So glad we did... on Tuesdays if you order a sandwich you get one free! Yum! After doing all that we went home. Jason was amazing and let me relax on the couch and watch the Office while he did the dishes. Jason is too good to be true sometimes!
March 21-22, 2012
So... today is not March 21st or 2nd... I'm a little behind. It's been a crazy month and both Jason and I have been super busy with the house stuff, so I'm writing this way later than I should be. I've kept notes though as reminders of what we did or what Jason has done that meat a lot to me. During these two days Jason and I mainly worked and were getting ready for our house stuff to get completed. We've already been at Home Depot more than any other store ever and we haven't even bought the house yet... we're both so excited! Jason, as always, began my day with his really wonderful text messages . . . "Good morning love" or "How are you love." He's so thoughtful and caring. On Wednesday I got a call from a family member of one of my patients... apparently he was abusing benzos and got into a massive car wreck. I later learned he was life-flighted to the nearest hospital and that he probably wasn't going to make it. I didn't think it was going to bother me, but it kind of did. I texted Jason when I found out. It was really sad because he was a stable patient who had been there for a long time and was clean until recently... in just a month or two he's backtracked so much that it might have cost him his life. Jason was unbelievably kind and let me talk to him about it. He sent me a text telling me he was sorry and that he loved me. So many people try to fix it if you are upset that they don't listen... Jason doesn't do that. I am so lucky that I have a husband who listens to me and just holds me. He let's me be upset and tell's me it's okay that I am. I really will never be able to explain how much that means to me... that he'll stay with me even when I'm not the happiest person in the world; that he'd rather hold me when I'm upset then leave and do something that might be more fun. I truly have the best husband in the world!
On Thursday Jason and I got off work and went shopping for one of Jason's coworkers. Glenn's wife has cancer and it's not getting better. In fact, Glenn is working from home for the next two weeks to spend as much time as he can with his wife. Jason's work is amazing and they have offered to bring him food daily for dinner so he doesn't have to cook. Jason signed up to provide dinner for him tomorrow. We're making roast. My parent's offered to let us cook it at their house on Friday (since it takes so long to cook... we could cook it while I go to work). We're making them roast, potatoes, carrots, dad's homemade bread, and mini apple pies). We dropped off the stuff for the roast at their house Thursday night and we ate dinner with them. They took us to Johnny's pizza. We also got them to watch the Office a little!
Over the past few days we've done a lot, but these entries aren't really about what we've done as much as it is what I love about Jason. The past couple of days Jason has been unbelievably kind and caring toward me. He's been there for me when upset, spent time with my family, and has worked unbelievably hard to provide for us. I'm so amazed each week by how much he does... he truly is an amazing man and he deserves more than I could ever give him.
March 23, 2012
Today Jason and I got off work and met at my parent's place to finish packaging up the roast. After watching an Office while the apple pies finish cooking, we got everything in the car and then drove to Glenn's. Glenn lives over an hour away so it was a long drive. Jason and I talked the whole way there and back. On the way back I thought I saw a sign that read "Sexy mudbloods." I guess I was in the mood to read Harry Potter or something. Well, this was fun because we immediately began coming up with fun porn movie titles with a Harry Potter theme... Moaning Myrtle; Whomping Willow; Dumbledoor's Wand. We spent the majority of our drive naming as many as we could... we have so much fun together!
Jason's a rare man. A rare person in general. Jason's the kind of guy who is quite, introverted to the max, intellectual, extremely interested in gadgets and how things work. Jason stays to himself a lot, and yet... he cares so much for people. He may disagree with that... he might say he feels obligated to, but I really think he does care. The mere fact that Jason feels that need, that obligation to help others shows how unbelievably kind he is. So many people don't even feel that obligation or a better word may be "desire"... that desire to help someone. I have, however, heard Jason use the word "obligation." He does it out of obligation. He might think that's a bad thing, but I find it wonderful that I'm in love with a man who feels "obligated" to be there for others. Maybe I misunderstood him, maybe I didn't, but one thing is for sure... Jason drove all the way out to Glenn's house to give them a home cooked meal. Jason offer's to help fix so many people's computers and gadgets so they don't have to pay someone else to do it. He cleans up the house for me when I'm too tired. He rubs my back when it's sore. He even cuddles with our cats. He let's his friend stay at our house when going through a horrendous divorce. The man's got more love in him than almost anyone I've ever met... he loves deeply while still having healthy boundaries. I am so thankful for how very good he is at showing love. I never wonder if Jason loves me... you don't question a man's love when he texts you every morning to let you know he's thinking of you. A man who wakes himself up in the morning to kiss you goodbye. Or when he sits beside you, hugging you while you cry yourself into goo. I'm so very lucky and there will never be words to express how very much in love I am with Jason.
March 24, 2012
Jason and I woke up late, slept in, and lounged around the house. It was lovely! After we did nothing for hours and hours we finally got ready and headed to Newnan to meet Nikki for dinner at Panera. It was so much fun! We got to catch up with her and enjoy each other's company. After we ate and talked for a while we got bagels for breakfast and then headed to Home Depot... shocker. We roamed around and begin picturing our new house and all that we wanted to do with it. I can't wait to own a home with Jason... to be able to turn it into something we made and did together. Sometimes I really can't believe we're together and doing all these things... we're both in stead, well-paying jobs and are able to afford our own home! We're so lucky. A great part of the credit should go to Jason and how hard he works. Jason's really good with money and managing how much we spend. I'm so lucky I have a responsible husband! I know there are so many times Jason wants to do something, go somewhere, buy something, etc... and yet he chooses to wait so that we can be financially stable. I love that about him!
